Every person deserves to be safe from slavery and violence
IJM is a global organisation working with local authorities, partners and survivors to stop slavery and violence.
Millions of people around the world are at risk of everyday violence — crimes like slavery, trafficking, violence against women and children and police abuse of power.
We work alongside local authorities, partners, survivors and supporters to:
Bring People to Safety
We work with local authorities and partners to bring children, women and men to safety and provide trauma-informed support to survivors. Over 95,000 people have been brought to safety from slavery and violence.

Bring Criminals to Justice
We work alongside justice system officials to ensure that traffickers and perpetrators are held accountable, stopping the cycle of violence and deterring others from abusing vulnerable people.

Strengthen Justice Systems
Slavery still exists because traffickers can freely exploit people. We provide training, mentoring and support to local law enforcement and community leaders to stop the cycle of violence and protect people from ever experiencing abuse.
We've seen slavery reduced by up to 86% in places we've worked. Read more of IJM's studies and research.
IJM works in 33 regions across 18 countries around the world to stop slavery and violence including:
Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC)
This brutal crime is on the rise. Now, sex offenders anywhere in the world can direct live sexual abuse of children from the safety of their homes. Find out how IJM works to stop OSEC.
Forced Scamming
A new, brutal form of slavery is rapidly spreading. Right now, thousands of victims are being tricked, trafficked, trapped in guarded compounds and forced to scam people like you and me, under the threat of brutal violence.
Violence Against Women and Children
Because women and children around the world often are not effectively protected by the law, they are particularly vulnerable to violent abuse.
European Anti-Trafficking Programme
Nearly two million people are trapped in slavery in Europe - including the UK. We’ve been helping protect people from cross-border trafficking in Europe since 2019.
Survivors are speaking out and leading the change:

Change is not only possible. It’s happening from the ground up.
