IJM UK adheres to the highest standards of accountability, working diligently to ensure that funds are allocated wisely in order to bring the greatest tangible relief to people in poverty and slavery. A Trustee Board sets policies and procedures and monitors the budget and expenditures. In addition, an independent accounting firm conducts an annual audit to verify that IJM complies with all generally accepted accounting principles.

IJM does not tolerate sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment (SEAH) of any kind and is committed to the following the United Nations Secretary-General's Bulletin on Special Measures for Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse.
