HG 100: A mission to fund 100 operations to bring people to freedom

There are over 50 million people trapped in slavery today: that's over 250 times the population of Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon combined.

We have a vision for HG to become an area that stands for freedom, so we're on a mission to help bring people to safety from slavery.

Will you join us?

Number of Operations Funded: 5

Money raised so far: £24,999

Can you help raise enough for another operation?

You can help bring people to safety from slavery and violence:

Join the movement to stop slavery and violence by giving regularly.

Freedom Partners faithfully give every month, helping bring freedom to people all over the world.

What is modern slavery?

Slavery is the use of lies or violence to force another person to work with little or no pay.

Children as young as four are being tricked, trapped and trafficked into life-threatening work.

Slavery is illegal almost everywhere. So why does it exist?

In many places the laws against slavery aren't enforced by the police and courts—so traffickers know they can exploit people living in poverty without any consequences.

From fishing boats to brick kilns to brothels, slavery takes place all over.

Maarko was a seven-year-old boy sexually abused live over the internet—a crime called online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC).

He dreamed of being like Superman, but had no way out. Here the story of how Maarko found freedom.

Who are International Justice Mission?

International Justice Mission is a global organisation working to stop slavery and violence.

Together, with authorities, partners, lawyers, social workers, and you, the HG team, we're making justice unstoppable - and building safe futures that last.

This is our model to end slavery, trafficking and violence:
