Melissa Russell is the Chief Advancement Officer at IJM, leading the teams responsible for IJM’s constituent, government and institutional partnerships. She drives the core strategies and engagements that fuel IJM’s growth around the globe.
Prior to her current role, Melissa led as IJM’s Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, National Director of Development and Texas Director of Development. Before joining IJM in 2008, Melissa worked in business development at the University of Texas, creating the revenue strategies and partnerships that helped launch the UT Film Institute and the nationally-acclaimed UTeach program. Melissa also worked for KPMG as the Director of Marketing in Austin, Texas, where she was responsible for accelerating growth and building brand equity in KPMG’s high-tech sector business.
Melissa received her B.A. in Journalism and her Master of Arts in Advertising and Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.
