Pray for Justice Scotland

We're inviting you to join a movement of prayer to end slavery and violence against the world’s poorest. In Mark 14 an alabaster jar of expensive perfume is broken over Jesus – to some this was a waste, to Jesus, A Beautiful Waste. In the global fight against slavery, stopping to pray could feel like a waste of time, but the work of justice begins at the feet of Jesus.

Pray for Justice: Scotland
11th May, Queen's Park Baptist Church

Pray for Justice Scotland will be hosted by IJM UK’s Zoë Anderson. Zoë recently joined the IJM Scotland team and works to help volunteers, students and youth champion the work of justice across the country. She loves people and loves the redemptive heart of Jesus, so cannot wait to be part of Scotland rallying together and coming before Him in prayer.

2019 Breakout Sessions

As a global organisation, IJM’s offices around the world practice prayer in a variety of different ways. Join this breakout space, led by Benson Shamala from IJM Kenya, to get a feeling for how our Kenyan office prays – be warned, this might involve you singing and dancing…

This breakout will be an open space to meaningfully engage in prayer for an end to slavery. Respond to what you have heard through creative and immersive prayer stations led by 24-7 Prayer Scotland’s Crystal Cryer and Scotland-based artist, Michael Samson.

The first work of justice is a work of prayer. Come and experience a range of contemplative practices that will draw you close to the God of Justice and enable you to intercede on behalf of those held in slavery and engaged in the fight against it. Led by Andy Bevan, IJM UK’s Scotland Director.

Spend time listening to the Holy Spirit, discovering what is on God’s heart and prayerfully responding to what He speaks. Led by Naomi Black from Central Church, Edinburgh.
