A new normal is possible.

Violence has increased during the pandemic. It doesn’t have to be that way.

Today there are 40 million people trapped in slavery. Rising poverty and vulnerability as a result of the pandemic means that exploitation is increasing. It doesn’t have to be that way. Join a global movement fighting to make freedom the new normal.

Things can't stay the same

1 in 4 victims of slavery are children. Already, traffickers are exploiting people who have lost jobs and family during the Covid-19 crisis. Together we must say 'no more'.

Join the Fight

Now is the moment to act

At least 1 in 3 women in the world have suffered sexual violence in their lifetime. This can't go on, but the fight for justice needs all of us.

Act Now

Together we can make Freedom the new normal.

Our Freedom Partners support IJM’s work on a monthly basis through regular giving. Join the global movement fighting to end slavery in our lifetime.

Survivors are leading the way

Some of the most inspiring leadership during the pandemic has come from survivors of slavery themselves. Your support helps them to come alongside vulnerable people in their communities and to advocate for lasting change locally - and globally.

"Imagine putting a full stop to child labour"

Mallesh was 8 years old when he was brutally enslaved on a rose farm. Today, he’s choosing to use his freedom to free others. He said: “I want to have the power to help others. Imagine putting a full stop to child labour.”

Survivor to Social Work Student

IJM Freedom Partners made it possible for the government and IJM Staff to free Mallesh back in 2013. In July this year, Mallesh passed his school exams and is pursuing a degree in social work. He’s now a member of the Rescued Bonded Labourers Association, a survivor-led group bringing rescue and advocating for change. Will you join Mallesh in building a world where every child is free?
