Make a lasting impact through corporate support

Corporate support of IJM has the potential to make an immense difference to those whom IJM serves, as well as complementing your CSR portfolio.  There are two main ways that your firm or company can engage in the work of providing access to justice for the poor around the world:

• Working Pro Bono has proven to be a very direct way in which law firms can seek justice for the oppressed by carrying out casework and research in conjunction with IJM. Given the wide influence of the English Common Law around the world, there are some IJM locations where the expertise of British lawyers can be harnessed to support the lawyers in IJM field offices as they tackle the injustices on the ground.

• Corporate financial giving can enable IJM to make great leaps or even establish new projects. How might IJM fit into your CSR Policies? There are numerous ways that supporting IJM financially could complement your company’s values. For example, if you work in an international context, supporting IJM promotes the functioning of public justice systems in places where you might operate. Furthermore, the tackling of illegal employment practices can reflect your values as an employer. International law firms work with a diverse range of clients from all over the world; by giving financially to IJM these firms will also strengthen justice systems around the world and ensure that cases involving the poor have the hope of success.
